Druid Hills and Emory Area

The Druid Hills area includes the Druid Hills Historic District, North Druid Hills/Briarcliff, Emory University District, University Park-Emory Highlands-Emory Estates Historic District, and the Emory Grove Historic District and is one of the most affluent neighborhoods in Atlanta.

Residences built in Druid Hills during the early 20th century are among the finest examples of period architecture in the Atlanta metropolitan area and the State of Georgia; these homes range from mansions to bungalows. The district includes a wide range of eclectic architectural styles with Georgian, Tudor, Jacobean, and Italian Renaissance represented in the greatest numbers. This community is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The community is home to many parks and green spaces and is known for its tree lined roads and beautiful landscaping.
The Druid Hills area is also home to Emory University and its hospital as well as the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
